Chinese Herbal & Ayurvedic Medicine

Chinese Herbal Medicine

David originally became interested in Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2005 and completed a short course on Chinese Patent Herbal Medicine with Shulan Tang's School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After using these patent formulations with patients and seeing the results he decided to study a full 3-year programme in Chinese Herbal Medicine with Shulan Tang which he successfully completed in 2008. Since then David has continued to prescribe and use Chinese herbal formulations to improve the health of his patients, friends, family and of course himself.

The Clinic was opened in 2015 as an Acupuncture Clinic and has since moved towards a more integrated holistic practice now offering therapies such as Reflexology and Indian Head Massage. The last chapter in this journey was to open a fully functional Chinese Herbal Medicine Dispensary.

All Chinese Herbal Medicine formulations are made and dispensed on sight from our extensive range of raw herbs which are all plant based and contain no animal products. The capsules used to encapsulate the powdered formulations are cellulose based and contain no gelatine

Ayurvedic medicine

Ayurvedic medicine (also called Ayurveda) is one of the world’s oldest medical systems. It originated in India more than 3,000 years ago and remains one of the country’s traditional health care systems. Its concepts about health and disease promote the use of herbal compounds, special diets, and other unique health practices

At the clinic, we formulate a small range of Ayurvedic medicines based around turmeric, black pepper, bitter gourd, fenugreek, gurmar, guduchi, neem, amla and bael. Ayurvedic practitioners widely use turmeric for inflammatory conditions and arthritis. We formulate several products using these Indian herbs to help with blood sugar, cholesterol, and weight control. All of these products can be purchased at the clinic or online.
